A Refreshing Space for Students

At Gray & Sons, we’re proud to have recently completed a rewarding project for a local school, which was to transform an area at The King’s School in Pontefract into a calming, new ‘chill out’ space for students. The project, named ‘The Hive’, is designed to provide a relaxing space for the children to unwind and enjoy some downtime.

With a tight time scale to complete this project, as the goal was to have the new space ready and open before the students finished for summer, we were determined to make it happen without compromising on quality or safety. To meet this deadline, we worked around the school’s timetable to ensure minimal disruption. Our team worked efficiently, maintaining a safe and controlled environment throughout, while also being mindful of the students and staff on-site.

Every aspect of the project, from design to execution, was carefully planned to ensure the space not only met the brief but also reflected the welcoming and safe space that the school wanted to create.

We’re grateful to have been part of this transformation and look forward to seeing how the students at The King’s School will enjoy their new ‘chill out’ area.
