Community Refurbishment Project

Following a recent small scale project to update the changing rooms, Gray & Sons are proud to have recently completed a much larger refurbishment project at Wheatley Hills RUFC, investing time, skills and resources to help give the club’s facilities a fresh new look and create an improved environment for new and existing players.

As a local business, we believe it’s important to support the communities in which we work and live and have always endeavoured to give something back through various guises, be it through our time, expertise or sponsorships.

As grassroots sports clubs play such an important role in bringing people together and providing opportunities for young people, we were delighted to be able to contribute to the club and its future as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our local community.

The refurbishment ath the club included:

• Strip-out of existing carpet, wall coverings, bar top and external furniture
• Sanding and polishing of the existing bar top
• Internal redecoration
• Installation of a feature wall
• New carpeted areas
• New internal and external signage
• Lighting upgrades
• New upholstery to fixed seating
• New ceiling tiles to the bathrooms
• Painting to the external bar
• External decoration to the physio unit
• Internal decoration and new flooring to the physio unit

The project was undertaken at our own cost, and it was fantastic to see the transformation take shape.

We hope the improvements provide a welcoming, refreshed space for the club’s youth teams, existing members, new players, families and volunteers to enjoy for years to come. We’re proud to have played our part in supporting Wheatley Hills RUFC and the continued development of grassroots rugby in our local community.
